Description/Responsibilities:
The Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely payment of wages, including payroll tax filing; actively supporting all expatriate and mid term assignments; ensuring proper accounting and accurate calculation of hours following all agency and legal requirements; and helping to ensure department goals and objectives are achieved. Other responsibilities include:
- maintaining financial controls for payroll.
- lead payroll processes to ensure timely pay.
- disbursement and reporting.
- administering expatriate and mid term assignment employee payroll.
- assisting with internal and external auditors responding to requests for financial information related to areas of responsibility.
- preparing internal and external reporting to meet regulatory and management reporting requirements and business unit expectations.
- supporting local and federal filings and reporting.
- mentoring and training team members.
- assisting with process improvements in the areas of reporting, analysis and employee self service.
- leveraging SAP design to gain maximum benefit.
- leading initiatives to optimize processes and support business and trend analysis.
- coordinating and monitoring payroll transactions for U.S. based employees and Business Units.
- ensuring adherence to controls and the timely collection of payroll/benefit information and travel expense reporting and audits
- understanding the impact of Expatriate/Mid term assignment employees on payroll.
- communicating and recommending resolution of issues.
- planning and prioritizing work to ensure deadlines and customer expectations are met.
- addressing direct deposit issues with bank.
- assisting with resolution and filing for escheat.
