First “Money Matters” National
Education Day

Do teens really understand their
paychecks? Do they understand
how deductions from their
paychecks keep America strong?
Thanks to APA members like you,
teenagers across the country
will soon learn all about
paychecks on the first “Money
Matters” National Education Day,
to be held during National
Payroll Week on September 8,
2006!
This special day will unite APA
chapters and members in an
effort to educate high school
students and youth groups on
important financial literacy
topics related to their
paychecks. Volunteer efforts
will be instrumental in helping
the teens better understand
their paychecks and the
tax-withholding system in
